This story does have a happy ending. It was a good lesson to all & Joanne was loved on. She was grateful for the help & attention.
We cannot change others until they want to change. But we can give love to help them regain self worth.
I'm asked what should they have done. My suggestion is be a friend. stop by and talk to her daily, bring water/food/socks
We drive back to drop her off and return the truck. She takes a break and sits on her cooler. Bible always close.
Everything I saved except my fishing poles, drum set & photos was garbage. I have been where Joanne is in life.
I'm reminded of my storage unit when I was homeless. After I got off the streets it took me over a year to go back to it.
