I took probably 25+ bad pictures of her from behind the ropes with the mob of other people.
Later I annoyed Nikki by analyzing whether or not that could have been taken as an insult when I honestly didn't mean for it to be.
Lauren said hello and signed the books. I told her she looks TINY in person. She said, "Aww... Wow. Thanks!"
Or something like that.
This woman blocked almost every shot. I'm not sure if she was a Borders employee or a member of Lauren's entourage.
We didn't get a shot, and Nikki didn't get to meet her. She is a good friend, and I don't think she was too torn up about it anyway.
The Borders Nazis allowed for one more picture from afar before letting me make my way over. If I wanted a photo of me at the table, Nikki would have to take it from behind the ropes.
Once we got to the front of the line, they made us put our cameras and phones away before approaching LC.
Instead, hundreds of people crowded behind a rope 10 feet from the table and tried to get a picture of her while she signed books.
Unfortunately they wouldn't allow anyone to take a photo with her (or even of her) while she signed your book.
We were nearly trampled by a pack of screaming girls when Lauren emerged and had to walk by us to begin the signing.
Once 7:00 PM came, we honestly didn't have to stand in line too long. There were over 600 people there... mostly behind us.

She does look rather thin, especially around her face .... Good pics though
