We wrap 24 books and place them in a lg basket. Starting Dec. 1, each of our kids takes a turn opening a book and reading it. Our kids love it!

I'm so excited to Whrrl is joining our GNO. This topic is right up my ally as I just love doing special traditions for my family during the holidays.

These are great ideas! I especially love the book idea. And I love all of the photos you've shared. One thing we do each Christmas is to put a photo of the gift recipient on the package so the little kids can play Santa. They know who the present belongs to by looking at the photos.

I do too. It's so exciting to have everyone unable to sleep and then getting up early and rushing to see what "Santa" brought!

I'm thinking I'll do a #Whrrl story for my friends and family in lieu of Christmas letter this year. Love social media & it saves trees #GNO

This year, we are cutting back on Christmas extras, and going back to basics. I did handmade gifts for family and friends instead of buying dust collectors. And for my kids, they get a Santa gift and a mommy/daddy gift. They don't need more toys. What we then do every year with our kids is have them clean out their toy room of abandoned toys, they load up an oversized stocking, and take the toys to kids who don't have any. They love it.

I commented under the Holiday Sweater pic/idea. Did I comment in the wrong place? I'd love to spend the $250 on the kids but may have to use for groceries or bills. If I were to win I'd just have to figure it out then.

I have a Blackberry and Thanks to @organizersandy, I just learned how to WHRRL from my blackberrry...prior to that I didn't get the purpose, but now that I can do it from my BB it will be so much more fun! If I won $250 g.c this year...I would love to have each of my kids use it to buy something for a child who is less fortunate than they are. We are blessed to be a blessing. We've had tight years and God has always provided for us and we need to in turn think of those less fortunate.
