I like to sneak puree'd healthy foods into "unhealthy" foods the kids love...Pizza, mac n cheese, pies, cookies, etc.

I like to incorporate festive vegetables into my mashed potatoes, and even something like cauliflower can go pretty much undetected! Also, doing craft activities is much more fun than snacking :)

I'm so fortunate that my kids love to help me in the kitchen! We love to experiment with different things, adding different spices, trying different vegetables. I'm so excited about this new PBS offering-with kids ranging in age from 18 months to 16 years old, it's sure to be a hit with our family! Thanks PBS!

We'll definitely be singing Fizzy's Lunch Lab's "Wheat is Sweet" song while we make bread for Turkey day in my house! So catchy!!

When my kids were younger, my trick was to get them cooking with me. They were stirrers and spicers and measurers. And then, when the food was cooking, they were my official taste testers and they had to decide if Dad would eat it. Now, they are 9 and 12 and are quite knowledgeable in the kitchen and aside from hummus, there isn't much they won't eat.

My kids love to help us cook and bake. All the time. At the holidays they love to make these little chocolate pretzel thingys and give them to their teachers.

Luckily, my kids love vegetables and it has never been a bother to keep them eating healthy over the holidays. We cook a lot of vegetable side dishes to go with the turkey or whatever meat we're cooking.

This is just so cool & really gets you thinking of all kiinds of ideas. I remember how my dad would get us to try vegetables & new things when we were a kid...he would act like my mom made it just for him but he was willing to share a little if we were good. I still remember how we fought to get his special attention just to try cabbage once :) plb8156@aol.com

I'm a big fan of the Sneaky Chef cookbooks here. "Dips" also help to make the fruits and veggies go down!

I got a great cookbook for Christmas last year with recipes to "sneak" vegetables into my family's meals. I like all the neat little tips I learned!

My tip is to create a menu. We have a dinner menu and a lunch menu and each week I print them and hang them on the fridge so kids can always check them if they want to know what's for lunch or dinner... and they always want to know!

Great tips! I always try to direct my child towards healthy choices, but the best way is for us to make healthy choices ourselves!

This is very nice. It is tough enough to get kids to eat the right things and this will certainly encourage them to eat more fruits and vegetables!

I love to find places to hide veggies and to make it a game out of trying new foods

I always hide veggies in my food. My favorite is spinach since it wilts down easily. It is great for any casserole and pasta dishes. I love these ideas
